Evaluations will take place for boys in grades 4th-8th on February 18th-20th.

As a reminder, all players will be placed on a team and no cuts will be made. This is a REC league but MLC does conduct evaluations to determine A and B team placement at these grade levels. 

Evaluations will take place at the Wesley Bishop Lower Turf Field as follows: 

Grade 4 - 5:30 - 6:30

Grade 5/6 - 6:30 - 8:00 

Grade 7/8 - 8:00 - 9:30 

We do not have evaluations for boys in grades 1-3. 

All players should arrive 15 minutes early for registration and pinnie pickup. There will be a brief parent meeting before each grades evaluation. Please plan on having one parent from each family attend. 

All players are MUST be properly equipped. (This includes Helmet, Mouthpiece, Stick, Chest Protector, Elbow Pads, Gloves and Athletic Support/Cup). Cleats or turf shoes should be worn. 

Long poles are not permitted for grade 4. 

All players should have their own water bottle.

Evaluations in February can be cold (they almost always are). Players should keep an eye on the weather, but sweatpants and sweatshirts are recommended.

If your player has interest in trying out for goalie, please email ajtalone@talonelaw.com. MLC does have goalie gear to provide. MLC is also planning specialist training sessions this season, including goalie training, for all MLC players free of charge. More information to follow. 

All players must attend evaluations.

We’re excited to announce our Lacrosse Equipment Donation Drive! This is a great opportunity to give your gently used gear a second life and help other families get ready for the season.

All equipment collected will be organized and made available to families in our club before the start of our spring season.

We’re accepting all types of lacrosse equipment (including sticks, cleats, goggles, pads, helmets and bags), but please keep these guidelines in mind for helmets and chest protectors:

1. NOCSAE Approved: Helmets and chest protectors must meet NOCSAE standards. If they are not approved, we cannot include them in the swap.
2. Helmet Condition: Helmets should be free of cracks or deformities and have full liner/padding inside. If any padding is missing, we cannot accept them.
3. Age of Helmets: Ideally, helmets should be less than 5 years old (some manufacturers recommend replacing every 3 years).
